Looking for Inspiring website Designs

One thing I plan to do is revamp my website.  The choices are so vast.  I could research it for ever and not get too far.  I am making a list of artist websites that inspire me.  Some how I found Susy Pilgrim Waters.   Oh I know I was looking at programs at Squam Art Workshops and she was teaching there. I think part of my attraction to her site is that I love her work too.  But it is simple, clean and fast.  If you have sites that you love leave the link in the comments.  Happy Art Making.

Working up a series of mixed media prints on boxes

layering 7″ x7″ boxes

Today I started playing with some small boxes.  I collaged a layer of security envelops, then gesso and then lots of stamped layers, handwriting and paint.  I had to stop to let things dry.  I did use the hair dryer in between some of the layers but I got to a point where thing should dry on their own.  I had to remind myself to do some fearless experimentation.   Still hoping for some extraordinary result.  There is always tomorrow.  Happy Printing.

stamping on cotton jersey

kind of blurry

Today I cut up a jersey shirt that had a paint stain on it. and printed all over it and made a scarf. I was not liking how it was turning out, but I kept going.  I used acrylic paint and

  1. a stamp that I made with double stick tape and string,
  2. and a cork,
  3. and a screen print  of twigs
  4. and then the cd on a pencil
The cd worked quite nicely to make a wavy line.  It held a lot of ink.
