I am trying to pick a couple of prints to submit to the Contemporary Art Biennial @ New Hampshire Institute of Art. It’s hard to choose and not possible to know what the juror will like. I guess I just have to take a chance. http://www.linda-germain.com/ Choosing Gelatin Prints for Contemporary Art Exhibit @ NHIA Read More »

Today I worked on top of some of the tiny gelatin prints that I started the other day. I was pleased with how a few of them developed. I played with a pre-cut stencil and I enjoyed the effect. I think it helps to keep the design simple when the prints are this small. I had a mat cut to the atc(artist trading card) size so that I could check how the composition is going. http://www.linda-germain.com/

I have been working on about 30 prints – just building up layers with thread, stencils and ink. They go from dark to light, dull to bright and back and forth again and again. There are always parts of the gelatin print that I like. I am always surprised. www.linda-germain.com
