Keep it simple when the prints get small. I like to have range of values in my prints and with gelatin prints things can get muddy pretty quickly. Sometimes less is more. I am still playing with the ATC prints. This print was made with a block of wood and 3 pieces of thread on an old dictionary page. Enjoy!

Today I worked on top of some of the tiny gelatin prints that I started the other day. I was pleased with how a few of them developed. I played with a pre-cut stencil and I enjoyed the effect. I think it helps to keep the design simple when the prints are this small. I had a mat cut to the atc(artist trading card) size so that I could check how the composition is going. http://www.linda-germain.com/

I have been working on about 30 prints – just building up layers with thread, stencils and ink. They go from dark to light, dull to bright and back and forth again and again. There are always parts of the gelatin print that I like. I am always surprised. www.linda-germain.com
