More foam Plate Prints

I have been experiementing with the foam plates some more.  The combinations are endless.  It is so quick.  I use a hairdryer to speed up the drying process, so that I can layer the image.
The speedball inks are working well.  I am not diluting them at all with water and I am getting nice even coverage.  I will have to put a call out to my family to save foam plate, take out food, meat trays and produce trays.
Enjoy the weekend.

What do you do when you are not in the mood?

Today things were not falling in place, I was waiting for ink to dry and I was struggling.  At that point I just wanted to leave and take a nap.  But Sunday is one of my free days to be in the Studio.  So I
  1. Went online and checked out Secret Sunday’s @ the Altered Page
  2. I changed gears and started playing with some ATC’s
  3. Cut out some new stencilsand covered them with a few coats of medium
  4. Ate lunch
  5. Had a tea or two
  6. Cleaned some brushes and brayers
  7. Took some studio pictures
So I manged to find somethings to do and was pleased with progress.  I think the trick was to move beyond the project that had me stopped and let it go for another day.

Warm day for Gelatin Prints

Today I have been playing with the sticks and stones series. The more I try to control the result the less control I seem to have. It is time for the pool now and time for the gelatin to go back into the refrigerator. I am reminded that I really like to have some darks and lights in my final image and some bright color too. I found a great website last night kickstarter.com It is a site to try to get funding for an artistic project. Inspiring stuff. I also found www.awesomefoundation.org Another site for funding creative projects. www.linda-germain.com
