kind of blurry

Today I cut up a jersey shirt that had a paint stain on it. and printed all over it and made a scarf. I was not liking how it was turning out, but I kept going.  I used acrylic paint and

  1. a stamp that I made with double stick tape and string,
  2. and a cork,
  3. and a screen print  of twigs
  4. and then the cd on a pencil
The cd worked quite nicely to make a wavy line.  It held a lot of ink.

dirty book – inside pages

There  was a nice turn out to support the local artists at Lynn Arts yesterday.  My book created a bit of interest in looking for the “dirty.”  For those who can’t see it in person, it has to be handled to experience the dirt.  As you turn the pages,  you make an impression and the pages make an impression on you, by leaving a little graphite/charcoal on your fingers.  Happy Art making!

Two Business of Art Inspirations

Today I came across two inspiring videos about art, marketing and making money.  The first was  “How to Make $1000. in Art Sales per Month”  by the Cory Huff of the AbundantArtist.com It is an interview with painter Michael Whitlark  And the second was about using the right side of the brain to do your marketing plan, Jennifer Lee shares great tools and info for Artists and Marketing goals and plans.  It was cool how she took the same info and presented it in a graphic way which made it accessible.  Happy Art making or marketing!
