Book of Monotypes with perfect binding

Book of Monotypes with easy perfect binding. from Linda Germain on Vimeo.

Opps the days are slipping by.  Well I took several of my prints that I would say are less than perfect and glued them into a 5″ x 7″ book. This is what I did:

  • Chose a stack of prints
  • Glued prints back to a back with a glue stick
  • Stack them in my preferred  order
  • Clamp them together
  • Liberally apply glue to the left edge, let dry and repeat
  • Add a thin strip of rice paper to the edge with glue.

The idea is to get as much glue in there as possible with out gluing the inside of the pages together.  Now I can add text, collage and doodles.

Check out the current workshops.
