what if I matter?
The girl is printed on tissue paper and collaged on.
I love to make gelatin prints on tissue paper for least 4 reasons:
- It is thin and super absorbent
- It is inexpensive
- It picks up lots of details
- It can be collaged into other work very easily.

So there is often a lot of tissue paper around at this time of year, give gelatin printing on tissue paper a try and let me know how you like it. Use ink or paint that dries fixed, like Daniel Smith water soluble ink.

I love tissue paper too. I often do digital printing with it. Need to try the printing.

Oh you reminded me about the special tissue paper I’ve hidden away! Time to bring it out and make some prints. Thank you Linda for always inspiring me.
Great idea! Will give this a try as I love to collage with my prints. Thanks for the tip on the Daniel Smith inks too, I’ve been using Speedball and Dick Blick inks and they bleed if I don’t seal first. – Yeah!

I’ll be doing this today. I love the tissue paper idea. What other paper do you use when not making collage papers?
OH, and do you ever travel to Texas? It would be great to have you down here to lead a workshop. I may have asked you this before… You have a big following of fans in Austin.
